Update Choosy to be 64-bit (for better Snow Leopard compatibility)
Currently Snow Leopard System Preferences has to relaunch in 32-bit mode in order to support Choosy - it would be great to add 64-bit mode for a smoother user experience.

Add support for Chrome Profiles
They just hit the Beta Channel so this is an extremely early request!
http://chrome.blogspot.com/2011/11/take-your-chrome-stuff-with-you-in-new.html...but it'd be great if Choosy could somehow route link clicks to specific Chrome Profile windows.
Thanks, and keep up the great work, George!

Choosy seems to request NVidia 330M graphics when running
Choosy seems to request that the system switch to the NVidia 330M graphics card rather than integrated graphics when running on the latest Macbook Pro.
This is detected using : http://codykrieger.com/gfxCardStatus/
The downside of this is that it can have a significant impact on battery life, especially given that it's a background/resident app.
125 votesChoosy 1.1 on Mavericks and El Capitan no longer requires the high performance graphics card.
The “Energy” tab in Activity Monitor indicates Choosy is behaving well: no requirement for the high performance graphics card, even when the browser prompt is displayed, and a very low average energy impact, even after several days of heavy use.

add Retina support
You're probably already considering this but just in case you aren't :)

Allow the browser selection to be Spaces aware
I'd love to be able to select my default browser based on the current space. This means i can use separate browsers in separate spaces for programming/work vs. personal/leisure.
It would be even better if I could set domains/regex patterns on a per space basis, allowing me to restrict the current space to certain domains and force me to focus on the job in hand!

Fix bug where Choosy is disabled on startup
Choosy is installed and working beautifully, and set as standard browser in Safari. Until I restart... Almost every time I restart (I'd say 80-90 % of the time), Choosy has disabled itself in the System Preferences and Safari has taken the position of default browser.
So the first thing I need to do when I restart the computer is to go to System Preferences, click OK in the "Choosy is disabled" dialogue box (that's a very annoying little box), and check "Enable Choosy for links" and Enable Choosy for HTML files".
This was the case in the beta versions and…
75 votesThere hasn’t been any new feedback on this issue in a long while, and with the significant changes to Choosy’s architecture in 2.0 I’m going to close this.
Feel free to open a new issue if similar problems come up in the post-2.0 world!

Stop Choosy from running in AppTranslocation mode
Choosy runs in AppTranslocation mode, even though the .prefPane file has been moved after downloading. This makes Little Snitch throw up a confirmation dialog after every restart.
41 votesWith the release of Choosy 2.0, Choosy is now a regular app that runs from the /Applications folder. Translocation should no longer be an issue.

preview short URLs
URL shortening services such as TinyURL and bit.ly are frequently used in Twitter and email, but their opacity encourages a lax attitude towards secure web browsing. Choosy could optionally pop up a small window that displays the actual URL to which the shortened URL refers. The user could then choose to continue to the URL or to cancel.
See Tweetie for an example implementation.

Add payment options besides Paypal
I don't have a Paypal account and have no desire to create one after hearing bad things about it. However, I would still like to buy Choosy. You could use something like Amazon Payments or Google Checkout.

Fix modifier key feature - text area to record keypress does not appear
Please fix this bug. The little "text area" to record modifier keys does not appear when selecting the modifier key option.
It's unusable. Not sure if others have seen this issue crop up as well but I've had it since the Mojave beta and it's persisted past other Mojave fixes.

A short single click opens the link directly in default browser.
Only if the click is accompanied by a modifier (i.e. key combination), a prompt will appear.26 votesThe advanced behaviour rules system in version 1.0 will include modifier key settings. The next release is likely to include some limitted modifier key support as well.
