preview short URLs
URL shortening services such as TinyURL and bit.ly are frequently used in Twitter and email, but their opacity encourages a lax attitude towards secure web browsing. Choosy could optionally pop up a small window that displays the actual URL to which the shortened URL refers. The user could then choose to continue to the URL or to cancel.
See Tweetie for an example implementation.
Released in version 1.0.2

Would be better if implemented via LongURL.org API

Having Choosy double up as a preview for URL-shortening services would be utterly awesome. On the other hand, there's no reason why it couldn't be implemented as a separate application with behaviour rules for particular URLs pointing to it...

There are url-unshortening services out there that could support a wider variety of services than George can be expected to maintain, but being able to dispatch based on the destination url as opposed to the shortened url would be neat.
