Stop Choosy from running in AppTranslocation mode
Choosy runs in AppTranslocation mode, even though the .prefPane file has been moved after downloading. This makes Little Snitch throw up a confirmation dialog after every restart.
41 votesWith the release of Choosy 2.0, Choosy is now a regular app that runs from the /Applications folder. Translocation should no longer be an issue.

report bug
extensions for Chrome crash my chrome everytime,
11 votesThere is a new version of the Chrome extension which resolves the crashing issue.
With older versions of Choosy the new Chrome extension may prompt “do you want to open Choosy?” each time it is used.
With Choosy 2.1 or later, both the crashing and the prompt should be resolved.

Make Choosy work in High Sierra
I'm trying Choosy for the first time, but no matter which settings I use, it doesn't seem to be working. I see no behavior that's any different from not having it installed at all. Everything just opens in Safari, as usual.
Has it been tested in High Sierra?
20 votesVersion 1.3 has been extensively tested on High Sierra, and there are no major problems remaining that I know of.

Bug / macOS Sierra clean install - System Preferences quit unexpectedly while using the Choosy plug-in
I'm running macOS Sierra 10.12.5 and Choosy 1.2.1. I just created a fresh install of macOS and, using the latest 1.2.1, was able to get Choosy successfully installed, licensed and confirmed working. However, whenever I attempt to create a rule under Advanced by pressing the "+", System Preferences crashes (Kernel Protection Failure) and produces the error "System Preferences quit unexpectedly while using the Choosy plug-in". I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall and reboot the system. If it's helpful I can forward the Problem Details and System Configuration log that is produced when the error occurs. I'm also happy to…

Workaround for Safari dialog in Sierra 10.2.2?
In Sierra 10.2.2, Safari (10.0.2) systematically displays a dialog whenever I invoke "Open in Choosy" in the contextual menu:
"Do you want to allow this page to open Choosy?"
Is there any way to avoid that extra step every time?
16 votesChoosy 2.1 shipped with a new Safari App Extension, which finally solves this prompting issue.

New bug - advanced rules not working with non-MacOS apps
Advanced rules about source apps don't work with some my apps:
- Slack
- Microsoft Outlook
- xMind
Instead of opening the chosen Chrome, Choosy asks me to choose from all browsers defined in settings ("Browsers" tab). However, native Mail.app works great and uses the desired browser.
MacBook Air Mid 2012
MacOS Sierra 10.12.1
Choosy 1.1It worked great a while ago, but after some recent update (I didn't notice, which one) stopped.
Can you check this issue out?
6 votesThis bug was fixed in v1.2
Note that for Slack, because of their application architecture, you have to select a Slack Helper app as the source application instead of Slack itself. See the comments here: http://feedback.choosyosx.com/forums/6165-general/suggestions/10036836

Bug about losing track of chrome being open after a profile is closed
In the last week, I've started seeing an odd behavior. If I open a second profile in chrome, and then close it, choosy start thinking chrome isn't open anymore. This results in all my url opens hitting the wrong browser.
I'm running choosy 1.1
chrome 54.0.2840.71

Add support for links in airmail
I am using Choosy to separate my work and personal browsing.
I have set it up to show the prompt from links from the apps Airmail and Skype like this:
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/qnkwqcli8mhmswg/Screenshot_2016-07-15_10-13-51.png?dl=0This works well in Skype, but it is not working in Airmail...
I have another rule that shows the prompt when I hold FN and click on a link (in any app) and that rule does work in Airmail.
PS:

Look at issue with Advanced behaviour rules panel not being displayed
I just downloaded Choosy last night. Upon installation, I was able to see and configure a rule in the Advanced behaviour rules panel. However, after restarting the machine later in the evening, I can no longer see the contents of the panel. If I click on the blank panel, I can bring up the various drop downs.

Adjust safari extension button padding to conform with other buttons
I'd love to see Choosy's safari extension add some padding to its button to look more in line with the default set of buttons in Safari.
Example can be seen here: http://imgur.com/cy0DfXs
1 voteI just pushed a new version of the extension, with a much better version of the icon for the toolbar button (it’s the correct size, and has a retina version)

Popup wont allow me to select OK
When first installing the app and visiting settings i get a pop up "Choosy is disabled - To enable it, check the "Enable Choosy" box on the general settings page"
However the OK button seems disabled which doesnt allow me to get back to system preferences meaning i need to force quit. This also means i cant use the helper to uninstall. Is there anyway to enable Choosy from terminal or a settings file rather than through the Settings UI?7 votes -
