  1. Allow rules to reformulate the link before sending it out. My mailto links need a special syntax.

    I need to turn a standard mailto links into links for a web-based email system with "server.com/compose.php?sendto=user%40domain.com"

  2. Allow skinning of the browser selection dialog

    It would be neat if we could really tweak the UI of the browser selection dialog. I'm thinking similar to the way QuickSilver allows different skins for their interface. This way, Choosy can really fit into the overall aesthetic the user has set up.

  3. Seems to not be working properly since last OS update.

    It will workmproperly when I tell it to offer me running browsers, but when I want all browsers it offers me ALL browsers, not just the ones on my browser list. I do web development, so I have a LOT of them, but only want to choose from about 5 when I click a link, the ones on my browser list. This is how it used to work, but no longer.

  4. Create a service to "Open URL with Choosy"

    Mac OSX services are useful and available system-wide. Sometimes we want to launch URLs from various apps and the context menu usually provides quick access to services as does quicksilver so this is a universal protocol for macs now.

  5. Open links clicked in Entourage in background instead of bringing browser to foreground

    When I click a link from an email in Entourage, it brings the browser called by Choosy to the foreground. Would love to tell Choosy to always open links in the background

  6. Not work in Twitter for Mac

  7. Add an option to remember your selection

    Like if you visit a domain semi frequently, but not enough that you want to create a new rule, have a setting so it will automatically create the rule if you want it to.

  9. add support for mailto links. E.g. Open Mail or Entourage

    If I click a mailto link within a web site, I would like the option to contact the link on a personal basis (using Mail) or for business purposes (using Entourage)

  10. select in the prompt by typing the start of a browser's name

    Add the ability to select a browser by typing the first letter or two of its name as well as by arrow keys

  11. extending support to various media types, not just browser

    It would be nice if Choosy could support something other than a browser. Maybe mail applications, Media Players or something else.

  12. fix the bug where Choosy just disables itself on it's own. Every day it does this. Not boot related.

    If this is OS related then it's a bug. Very annoying that I can use Choosy, come back a couple of hours later when nothing seems to have changed and it has disabled itself.
    No filevault.

  13. hipchat adobe air app doesn't honor choosy links

    I use HipChat's desktop air app for OS X and unfortunately choosy just opens them right up in Chrome :( I saw in a previous release note that you fixed it working for air apps, maybe this one is different?

  14. Fix bug that Choosy bookmarklet doesn't work when URL contains some Japanese letters

    I found that when URL contains Japanese letters, choosy bookmarklet does not recognize the URL properly.
    This problem particularly occurs in Amazon.co.jp

  15. add an option to specify behaviour based on network location

    it would be useful to have different behaviours for different network location, e.g., I would:
    - open in Safari when I'm at home
    - open in Firefox when I'm at office #1
    - etc.

    Like once a day, it just stops working, and I need to enable it in preferences...

  17. add OS X Applications to what Choosy can let you "Choose"

    Choosy is such a godsend for keeping ME in control of what browser launches what file/link!

    After wrestiling with OSX today to stop it from launching an app for a filetype of which I prefer another application to launch by default instead, I found myself thinking "damn, I wish there was a version of Choosy that worked with Application launching".

    Yes, I know you can right-click on a flie and tell it to open with another app (or option click and set it as a default), but Finder context menus can be VERY sluggish, depending on what other Finder extensions…

  19. search google in not just Safari

    I'd love to have the option to search google in whatever browser is currently running. For some reason, searching Google from a cocoa-app always opens Safari, which isn't always the best choice.

  20. choose a browser automatically based last one used.

    When you click on a link Choosy deermines which of it's browsers was last the front application and selects that one without user's further input.
