Support Arc Browser Profiles
I've been using Arc (https://arc.net/) lately as my default personal browser, and liking it a lot. I just decided to switch my work browser from Chrome to Arc as well, and noticed there's an issue with my plan: I use Choosy extensively to ensure Work related links are opened in the correct browser.
Unfortunately, Choosy doesn't seem to support Arc profiles.
However, Arc is based on Chromium so it may not be that hard to add support for them since they're already supported for Chrome.
Would love to see this added!

Missing license agreement on the website.
I'm trying to get Choosy approved for internal use in my company, but unfortunately, I haven't found a license agreement on the application website.
Is it possible to share it on the app website itself?

Safari icon broken
Is it just me or is the Safari toolbar icon wonky in the 2.2.1 release? It's super tiny compared to other apps' icons. See screenshot: https://www.evernote.com/l/AASfNSW2iqxBhL9MreuwlsmX25i9FvtH-jg

On sleep wake, Choosy pops with every desktop click
lately when I've been waking my MBP, there's the Choosy popup with all browser options open. this doesn't matter if an app was open or all were closed before going to sleep. when I click around the desktop, it just pops a new Choosy menu. the only fix is to close Choosy and restart it. I checked and version 2.3 is installed. It's a MBP with M1 running Ventura 13.0

Disable Choosy Integrations
Since upgrading to version 2.3 on Ventura I keep getting repeated error messages that 'Choosy Integrations aren't working as expected" and behind the scenes 'MacOS reported error 48: The operation couldn't be completed. Address already in use'.
I don't plan on using the handoff or browser extensions and would like to turn off this functionality.

Rule "Web address contains" does not work
I created a rule for Web address contains "onet" which should alway open in Safari. Now links containing "onet" displays prompt for choosing browser. It means simple rule does not work at all.

Use Web Extensions API to add support for Orion
Orion browser allows to install extensions from both Firefox and Chrome extension stores. I can install the extension but clicking the icon in the toolbar does nothing. It might be an issue on the Orion side of things, but I'm also opening this suggestion here in case there's something that can be done.

Sporadic issues with email client
This issue is rather odd. I have a Macbook Pro as a work computer. I have Choosy set up as the default browser and it is configured so all applications use Microsoft Edge. I have a single rule set up in Choosy so personal apps use my personal browser, Opera. Everything works as expected. A few months back I switched my personal email client away from Apple's mail client to eM Client (https://www.emclient.com). For some reason Choosy seems to be having problems with this email program. Sometimes it opens links I click in eM correctly (Opera), other times…

Choosy extension > rules
I have the Choosy extension in Chrome and it works great for sending the current link to a browser of my choice. It would be nice if I could have Choosy treat it as an opened URL and follow the rules to direct it. Thank you!

Ability to test the rules
Sometimes I struggle writing my rules, especially when I use regex patterns. It would be great to test them against a set of URLs, so I can see if I precisely prepared the patterns or not.

Way to have choosy start hidden when logging in?
Hi,
I've read that this should be possible, but can't figure out how to do it. I just did a fresh install of Choosy 2.2.1 on a new system and set it up to auto-start when logging in. I'm missing an option to start Choosy minimized/hidden, so that the UI is not shown after login.Any help / feedback for this?

Chrome extension: add the ability to set a default browser
When using the extension I always use the same browser (Safari) to open the links (from Brave), so clicking "Open with Choosy" and then selecting the browser is much slower than it could be.
Maybe you could keep the current menu option and add a second one, configurable, e.g. "Open with Safari".1 vote -

Links from Slack not working
I've set up a number of rules in Choosy, to pick specific Chrome profiles based on a URL match. This works very well, except from Slack. When I click a link in Slack, Choosy always shows me the list of browsers, rather than automatically picking the appropriate one.
Perhaps this has to do with URL obfuscation/redirection being done by Slack? (no idea)

Respect browser rules when using "From iPhone" handoff
When using the "From iPhone" handoff, MacOS seems to use the System's default browser to decide where how to open. With Choosy set as the default browser, it always opens handoff links in Safari.

Choosy main window opens automatically after every reboot in macOS 11.6
Since I installed macOS 11.6, Choosy v2.2.1 shows the main window every time I restart my computer. Is there a way to allow Choosy to start in background mode? I have to close the main window every time I turn on the computer and it is a bit annoying. Thanks!

Open Spotify URLs in Spotify
I'd like to open spotify URLs (e.g. https://open.spotify.com/track/foo?si=bar ) in Spotify. I tried adding Spotify as a browser without success.
As a workaround maybe an Automator app could be used and invoke Spotifys Applescript capabilities? How is the URL invoked with an app from Choosy?

Add "None" or "Ignore" as a browser option for rules - poor man's black list
Add a "None" option to the browser list so a rule can simply do nothing with no UI or prompt.

Better iterm integration
Choosy has taken over cmd+click in my terminal. This great when I want to open a link. It is not so great when I want to open a file in my IDE.
For example, I get a merge conflict in my CLI and I want to cmd+click the file to open in my IDE. Choosy only lets me open it in a browser. It would be great if I can create a rule to ignore any file path that ends in
.js
. I tried to create a rule that would instead have it open a file that end in …1 vote
