You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Update for Yosemite?

When I try to enable Choosy in Yosemite (public beta, so I understand that it might not work yet), I get a notification from OS X asking if I want Choosy to be my default browser. I click “Continue", and the “General” tab in System Preferences.app loads, but Choosy is not enabled.

    • In Yosemite GM3 - unable to see/edit rules in the advanced preferences

In Yosemite GM3 - unable to see/edit rules in the advanced preferences - when you go to the advanced preferences, the rule list is empty - however, there are rules their, and they work, you just cannot add to them or edit them.

      • Yosemite Beta OS X 10.10 (14A379b): Choosy will not work.

If I will open in the Preferences of Choosy 1.0.3 "Advanced" and open a Rule, I get since the new Update of Yosemite a message: Internal Error.
Sorry, the Message is in Germane and I am noct able to translate it
If I "edit selected rule" the windows open empty.
I installed Choosy at new, (with deleting the Preferences) but the same issue.
I will report the Bug also to Apple.
        Is there any suggestion?

          • Update Choosy to bring web browsers to the forefront.

I can't believe this is the intended behavior, but when I click on a link, Choosy sends the link to the web browser but does not bring it frontmost. I can't imagine what setting this might be. Is there something that I'm doing wrong?

            • Does Choosy work in Mavericks 10.9.3 with Fluid?

I just downloaded both Fluid and Choosy today (6/17/2014). I've created a Fluid browser for Google and limited it to google.com addresses. I then set up a Choosy rule to open all links containing Google.com in that browser. I did not need ChoosyFluid to find the browser, it just showed up. Clicking a link to Google or typing a Google.com URL in the address bar of either Safari or Firefox opens the URL in the same browser. It does not activate the Google Fluid browser. On the other hand, if I type apple.com in my Google Fluid browser, Choosy prompts…

              • Fix choosy helper not starting after Mavericks upgrade

Love choosy. After upgrade to Mavericks, choosy helper no longer starts automatically even though it is checked to do so in prefs pane. Have to open system preferences->choosy and then click the "start choosy helper". Then all works. Would just love it to start up automatically again.

                • Choosy doesn't distinguish between standard Chrome and SSB Chrome

I'm using Chrome SSBs on Mac for sites like Gmail.

First, I'd like all links clicked in the Gmail SSB to open in the standard Chrome instance, without needing to right click and select "Open with Choosy".

Second, even when I do click "Open with Choosy", the link will open in the wrong chrome instance. Instead of opening in standard Chrome, as I selected, the link will open in one of the SSB Chromes.

                    • Allow me to open links from Notification Center in a specific browser.

When I click links in Notification Center I always want them to open in Safari instead of Chrome, but it's not an 'app' I can select from the rules tool.

                      • Choosy doesn't work in Safari

Choosy does not respond to ANY links in Safari.

If I click a torrent link, the torrent file is automatically downloaded to my downloads folder - I don't get to pick a torrent client to open it with.
If I click a magnet link, I'm not given an opportunity to select which torrent client I want to use, it always opens Transmission.

This isn't an issue in Firefox - Choosy's popup window always appears and lets me choose.

                        OS X 10.7.5
                        Safari 6.1.2.
                        Choosy 1.0.3

                        • After upgrading to Mavericks it Choosey stopped working.

After upgrading to Mavericks, Choosey stopped working. I have been checking back for an update but then checked system preferences and found I just needed to launch the helper again. Not a problem once you know that's all that has happened but something you might want to know.

                                • Easier support for advanced rules by domain

I'm looking for a tool that will route URLs by domain. e.g., things in my internal corporate domain go to one browser, Facebook goes to fluid, everything else goes to my "preferred" browser. Awesomely, Choosy's advanced rules support this, but, it's actually pretty cumbersome.

The web address part is matching the whole URL, starting with the protocol, and ending with the path. So if I want to match all hosts in a given domain, without making a hole for malicious things like mallory.com/targetURL/1234, I need to use something like the following regexp:

                                  ^https?://([a-zA-Z0-9]+.)?facebook.com($|/.*)

It works, but it's really unwieldy. I'd…

Sorry for the continuing delays in getting licenses out. There are some PayPal issues which I’m waiting on. As of now, there shouldn’t be anyone waiting on a license, but new purchases over the next few days might still take a little while to be fulfilled.

I installed choosy on a Mac Pro with Lion but it breaks all links. I click on a link and nothing happens at all. If i disable "Choosy for Links" they work fine and open in the browser

                                        • Different options for left & right mouse clicks

I'd like to have it so that a left click uses the default system browser, and a right click brings up Choosy, or at least Choosy's browser list in the contextual menu. There seems to be no option for this in settings or advanced rules.
