  1. I paid $12 for a license August 31 and despite three emails and complaint to Paypal have still not received any response!

George Brocklehurst's weblog has updates as recently as September 4 so it would seem he's not in the hospital. He doesn't seem like a deadbeat.... what's the deal?

  4. There is a windows program called pickBrowser that has this feature already implemented: You can customize in the settings that the program routes URLs based on their domain automatically to a specific browser without even showing the browser selection dialogue.

For example you can configure that all pages that belong to your intranet domain (e.g. intranet.ibm.com/) open in Safari, all Youtube links (based on the domain youtube.com) open in Chrome while the rest (where no explicit rule exist) will open the selection dialogue first.

Really helpful in a coroprate environment when you even want to avoid in certain situations that…

  6. I'd love to see Choosy's safari extension add some padding to its button to look more in line with the default set of buttons in Safari.

Example can be seen here: http://imgur.com/cy0DfXs

I just pushed a new version of the extension, with a much better version of the icon for the toolbar button (it’s the correct size, and has a retina version)

  7. I have two conditions setup in a single rule. When I go to edit the rule, both conditions are on top of each other.

I have a screenshot but we have not link to upload.

There’s a fix for this coming in the next release.

In the meantime, clicking the “+” button will resolve the display (although it’ll leave you with an empty row to remove)

  9. In the last week, I've started seeing an odd behavior. If I open a second profile in chrome, and then close it, choosy start thinking chrome isn't open anymore. This results in all my url opens hitting the wrong browser.

    I'm running choosy 1.1
    chrome 54.0.2840.71
    and osx 10.11.6

This crash was caused by a multi-line URL input in a rule.

I’ve made a change to Choosy 2.0 to prevent multi-line input in rule fields (either by copy-and-paste, or by pressing option+enter) which should prevent this specific crash from happening again.

  11. I have tested with the latest versions of Chrome, Opera and Safari. Choosy will display the 3 browsers but before selecting the app crashes.

The same crash occurs with 2 or 3 browsers open.

  12. When context clicking on a link in Chrome and selecting "Open with Choosy" a panel pops in at the top of the window (as shown here: http://drops.jsorge.net/DtiHX4 ). Is there any way to stop this so selecting the menu item just gives me the Choosy menu right away?

This issue was resolved in Choosy version 2.1.

From Choosy 2.1 onwards, a new mechanism is used to communicate from the Chrome extension to Choosy that does not trigger this prompt. The Chrome extension will fall back to the previous mechanism of communication for older versions of Choosy.

If you’re seeing this issue with Choosy 2.1 please let me know the specific versions of Choosy, Chrome, and the Choosy Chrome extension and I’ll look into this further.

  14. Let Choosy automatically download and install updates of stable releases.

e.g. using Sparkle or Google Update Engine
