I want a link (in Chrome) to always open in another (Safari) browser (even if I click it in Chrome), possible with rules?
I want a link (in Chrome) to always open in another (Safari) browser (even if I click it in Chrome), is that possible with rules? I'm not talking about using Browser integration, I have that as well. I want Choosy to "intercept" that I clicked a link per rules I setup redirect the link to the other browser, without any action by me. I tried doing this with Adv Rules and "specific application" rule with Chrome selected, but it does not seem to work intra-browser (it only works in other Mac apps with URLs to a Browser). Am I wrong?
This is a deliberate design decision; Choosy helps you get into the right browser, but once you’re there it doesn’t interfere.

+1 for me too. Running a Chrome Web App to use additional Todoist keyboard shortcuts. Wish I could use Choosy with it.

You, or anyone else, is welcome to make a browser extension that does this using the Choosy API. I continue to consider this out-of-scope for what I want Choosy to do.

+1 would definitely need this to open links in their relevant Fluid apps

Fluid's default behaviour is to send all links that don't match the SSB's URL to the system (which then sends them to the default browser, which in your case is probably Choosy) which is why it works so well with Choosy.
I'd love to add richer functionality to the browser plugins, but I also want to keep them roughly equivalent (e.g. Chrome shouldn't do something that Firefox and Safari can't) which means there are some things I'm waiting on better browser support for.

I would like to be able to do this too. I have chrome application shortcuts set up so that I basically have SSBs running, but through chrome, and not Fluid. It seems that this functionality works through Fluid only? Why not allow it in any browser?
I have rules set up so that if the link contains a certain domain, it uses that app, which means that within those SSBs, clicking in the same domain will allow you to stay in that browser. If a link that takes you outside that domain is clicked, it's automatically opened in the favorite browser (regular non SSB Chrome)
If you don't want the app to work this way, is there a way to make it so that the browser extension could automatically follow the rules I've set up in Choosy, instead of having to click the button and choose for each link? That way it'd be totally opt-in add-on functionality.
