    well, after i rebooted chrome and let it do the update it is working...i should have read the entire post :) still very happy with the choosy.

    sudo chmod -R 777 /Users/XXXXXXX/Library/PreferencePanes/Choosy.prefPane

    I just had to deal with this again, seemed to have worked. I think my previous note had left off the "sudo"
