  2. Usually I want my links to open in whichever browser I was using most recently so that would be a great default behaviour.

  3. When clicking on an Apple News link in an OSX app such as Mail.app, it would be good if Choosy could intercept that link and open it in a browser instead of the Apple News app. While all Apple News links seem to start with https://apple.news/ a Choosy rule doesn't catch them as there seems to be some OS-level URL capture happening.

  5. When opening a page in Firefox, Firefox will spawn an additional new window (set to whatever is the preference of "Firefox Home" or blank page). This happens when Firefox isn't running aka is a cold start. The Firefox preference "open links in tabs" solves this problem, but only if Firefox is running.

This is seen on macOS Big Sur running the latest version of all the apps.

  6. I've configured Mac OS X Big Sur to use Choosy 2.2.1 as my standard browser. In Choosy, I've got a rule to open a website with my favorite browser. But that doesn't work. Links are not opened anymore.

  7. If this is OS related then it's a bug. Very annoying that I can use Choosy, come back a couple of hours later when nothing seems to have changed and it has disabled itself.

  8. I am running Choosy 0.9.2. In System Preferences, it says in red, "Choosy is not registered, you may use it for another 273 days." However, it has now disabled itself. I noticed earlier that in the menubar there were two Choosy menus, 0.9.2 (old icon) and 0.9.3 (triangle icon). Now there is only the 0.9.2 menu. Choosy 0.9.2 has asked in the past to upgrade to 0.9.3, and it told me then that if I did so, my trial period would be set to 90 days. That was less than 90 days ago, and I do not remember even downloading…

It sounds like some confusion has occured between the two versions – one has expired and the other hasn’t. The automated update shouldn’t install a new version without asking, and when it does it should replace the old version so there are a number of issues here.

Could you email me and I can get some more details from you?

  10. For example, I would like to open links in Brave when I'm in space #1 and Chrome when I'm in spaces 2-5

  14. Fluid v1.4

The current SSB stays focused, however the Window loses focus (the Application is still the foremost application, however).

  15. MacOS 10.13.1. Chrome 61.0.3163.100 64bit. Seems to have started in the last few weeks. Choos Safari or Firefox and those open correctly.

  16. I'd like to have it so that a left click uses the default system browser, and a right click brings up Choosy, or at least Choosy's browser list in the contextual menu. There seems to be no option for this in settings or advanced rules.

  17. I'm not sure if this is possible or not, but just like we have the existing regular expression system plus the Firefox plugin, have the browser plugin send a given URL to Safari (for example) if the loading page matches an expression.

Reason?? I love Firefox but I can't use it with Flash/video sites (like YouTube and Vimeo)... Forget it, it's SLOOW and borderline useless.

    I'd love this feature! :) <3

  18. The browser plugins are great for sending windows to a different browser, but for people like me who keep tons of tabs open at once, it'd be awesome if I could send them all to a different browser at once.

  19. I use HipChat's desktop air app for OS X and unfortunately choosy just opens them right up in Chrome :( I saw in a previous release note that you fixed it working for air apps, maybe this one is different?

  20. I have a rule which says "if source application is /Applications/ReadNow.app, use best running browser". However, even if I promote this rule to rule 1, when I open a link from ReadNow, I am asked to select from all running browsers instead of it Just Working and opening the link in Safari.

Choosy works correctly with similar rules referencing other applications. What's going wrong here?
