  1. I have purchased Choosy some time ago and now needed to fix my macbook by erasing and installing everything from scratch. So I downloaded Choosy again, but cannot open it. Obviously my macosx is not supported (10.13)

  2. I would really appreciate the option for in-browser links to be routed through Choosy. I use many Site-Specific Browsers and I mainly bought Choosy to have it automatically direct to the appropriate SSB while using my main browser.

For example. I'd like to direct all YouTube URLs to an SSB of a specific account. If I I'm not paying attention, which is likely to happen eventually, I'll slip up and forget to open the url with Choosy.

I read an older comment that it was by design, but I think it's worth reconsidering. Choosy could default to the way it…

  3. When I try to add a Google account to an app like Fantastical, the oAuth link results in a 400 Error when Choosy is used to pass the URL to the browser.

For example, when using Choosy to pass the link from Fantastical to Safari, the requested URL starts with "https://accounts.google.com/signin/oauth/legacy/consent?authuser=0&part=blahblahblah....."

This URL results in a 400 Error ("The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know.").

When I disable Choosy, and just have the link open in the default browser, the URL passed looks different. It looks…

  4. I propose adding a trigger that allows you to create rules based on the time of day. As an example, I might make a rule that if it is between 9:00-17:00 then open Chrome. And if it's between 17:00-23:00, then open Firefox. And if it's really late, open Safari to drive me nuts ;-P

  6. I'd like to be able to exclude some browsers from the prompt. For example, I added Zoom as a browser so I could set up a rule to automatically open all Zoom links in Zoom, but I don't really want Zoom in the prompt.

    Thanks!

  8. I'm sure this used to work, but it's broken in 0.93: dragging a browser entry just results in it flying back into place. Expected behaviour: the list is reordered.

  9. I am running Choosy 0.9.2. In System Preferences, it says in red, "Choosy is not registered, you may use it for another 273 days." However, it has now disabled itself. I noticed earlier that in the menubar there were two Choosy menus, 0.9.2 (old icon) and 0.9.3 (triangle icon). Now there is only the 0.9.2 menu. Choosy 0.9.2 has asked in the past to upgrade to 0.9.3, and it told me then that if I did so, my trial period would be set to 90 days. That was less than 90 days ago, and I do not remember even downloading…

It sounds like some confusion has occured between the two versions – one has expired and the other hasn’t. The automated update shouldn’t install a new version without asking, and when it does it should replace the old version so there are a number of issues here.

Could you email me and I can get some more details from you?

  10. I'm not sure if this is possible or not, but just like we have the existing regular expression system plus the Firefox plugin, have the browser plugin send a given URL to Safari (for example) if the loading page matches an expression.

Reason?? I love Firefox but I can't use it with Flash/video sites (like YouTube and Vimeo)... Forget it, it's SLOOW and borderline useless.

    I'd love this feature! :) <3

  15. Choosy always displays the prompt even when my #1 browser is running. It didn't used to do this but it has been consistently acting this way for a while.

  17. The browser plugins are great for sending windows to a different browser, but for people like me who keep tons of tabs open at once, it'd be awesome if I could send them all to a different browser at once.

  18. I use HipChat's desktop air app for OS X and unfortunately choosy just opens them right up in Chrome :( I saw in a previous release note that you fixed it working for air apps, maybe this one is different?

  19. If this is OS related then it's a bug. Very annoying that I can use Choosy, come back a couple of hours later when nothing seems to have changed and it has disabled itself.
